This weekend in Honolulu, Hawaii the threat of a tsunami coming their way sent many citizens and tournists into immediate action to protect thier lives and their property. After the the predicted wave did not hit hawaii Saturday at its predicted time of 2:30, the warnings were lifted and many went back to their everyday lives of lounging on the beach.

Although this was a huge scare many scientists are trying to justify what made them think this tragady was coming Hawaii and most of the Pacific Island’s way. After the 8.8 earthquake that hit Chili they came to the conclusion that areas far from the epicenter never materialized.

This evacuation was the largest scale evacuation in Hawaii in years if not decades but fortunatly for everyone the tragedy was avoided.
