Unfortunately snow days mean make up days and those are exactly what are rushing towards us. The schedule is as shown. Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 27th are planned for finals. After that, the classes 2011-2013 have Friday off for graduation of the seniors. Monday is off for Labor Day. Read more…

On Friday, April 30, 2010, Jefferson County students celebrated Day Without Hate.
At the Thursday, April 29, Jefferson County Board of Education meeting, a parent challenged whether or not Stephen King’s It deserves a place on Jeffco school bookshelves.
Jefferson County Public Schools canceled school for Wednesday, March 24. In order to make up for the lost instructional time, spring break has been shortened. School will now recommence on Monday, April 5. Check here for updates on Thursday’s schedule and further closures.
It’s no secret that the Jefferson County Public School District is in a budget crisis. Two weeks ago, the Board of Education voted to close down Russell Elementary School in Arvada and last year the Board made cuts that included a decrease in custodial and facilities services staffing, elimination of staffing at the district’s costume room (for plays and the like) and decreased funding for the Warren Tech Galleria.
Now that it’s budget season once again, the district must identify those services that may no longer be necessary. Here are the cuts that affect RVHS most directly. Read more…

This Thursday and Friday, students and parents can support the Arvada Food Bank and the 2010 Veterans’ Wheelchair Games just by eating Chipotle and going to the basketball game.
After a few weeks of having no drama club due to the fall play production of “Harvey”, Drama club will be ready to go again.
