BASEBALL’S HIGH HOPES
The baseball team plays cherry creek in the state playoffs today. The players got to miss school for the game.
The mustangs entered today with a 17-4 record, and a Jefferson County league Championship. They have been hitting the ball very well going into the creek game today.
Matt Jones has led the way with .458 batting average, seven home runs and 19 RBI’s. Peter Herrin is likely to take the mound today. He has been the mustangs’ ace for the season and hopes to advance RV into the further rounds of the playoffs.
Last week the mustangs defeated Loveland and Mountain Vista in the first day of the state playoffs.
