Adopt a Nazi

Highway 85 near Brighton, Colorado has a new caretaker, and it is causing a lot of controversy.

The road has been adopted by the National Socialist Movement, or as they call themselves, the American Nazi Party. The Nazi’s have volunteered to clean the highway and CDOT will allow them to do so.

Some people are upset because the group stands for white supremecy and racial purity. The group leader, Neal Land, says that his group is not doing anything illegal and should be allowed to clean the highway; he has the law on his side.

If CDOT does not allow the group to adopt the highway then they will set themselves up for a lawsuit, one that they will probably not be able to win.

“I want people to know we’re in the state, we’re active in this state, and most of all, we’re doing good things in this state,” Land said. “We’re not a group that’s out there selling drugs, running guns. We don’t support any illegal activity of any sort.”

So the next time your driving on Highway 85 near Brighton, keep an eye out for the sign saying the road has been adopted by the American Socialist Movement.
