Editorial Policies
The Ralston Valley Xpress is proud to be the official student newspaper of Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colo. In accordance with the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and Colorado state law, the Xpress is not subject to prior review by school or district administration and is, therefore, solely the product of student editors and reporters.
The Xpress is a public forum for free expression by all students, faculty and community members and will, therefore, publish all letters to the editor for which space will allow. Letters should be signed and include contact information for the writer. The Xpress reserves the right to return the letter to the writer for editing. Letters may be delivered to adviser Jeff Fleischman in room C2230 on blue days or room E2251 on white days or they may be submitted online at www.rvhsnews.com.

All views expressed within the Xpress are the opinions of their listed writers, except unsigned editorials, which are considered the opinion of the Xpress Editorial Board. All content from outside sources, including but not limited to quotes in articles, published interviews, “Herd in the Halls” and letters to the editor is solely the view of the original speaker, even when no name is listed. Said content is not the opinion of the writers, Editorial Board or adviser of the Xpress.
The first two copies of the Xpress are free and available throughout Ralston Valley High School. Additional copies may be purchased for 50 cents in room C2230 or where available. Taking or purchasing one or more copies of this publication with the intent of preventing other individuals from readily accessing the information within it is prohibited by C.R.S. 18-4-419. Violators will be prosecuted, as stated in C.R.S. 13-21-123.
